Pete Bennett, Maverick1000 Member #170 – London, United Kingdom
Welcome Pete! Tell us about your business…
I’m in the business-to-business communications sector, and provide language translation and audio and web conferencing services via the websites below:

http://www.ozoneconferencing.com/
Why did you become a member of Maverick1000 and why are you a good fit for the group?
I became a member to network and exchange business and marketing ideas with people in the USA.
What top things would you like to gain / learn / do with other Mavericks, and what unique value do you bring to the group?
We are developing a range of language services aimed at the IM community, to help them sell to the two thirds of the world who don’t speak English. Here’s a demo video of me speaking at Underground 8: http://tiny.cc/petevt. I’m also an Infusionsoft Certified Consultant, and can help people with that.
What interests, activities or hobbies do you enjoy?
I love internet marketing, and am learning to become a trader (Forex and stocks). I’m also a PS3 nut. I love public speaking.
What’s the most “Maverick” thing you’ve ever done?
I’ve done a few parachute jumps — and am going to do the MIG29 flight with the Mavericks this month.
What are the top adventures / things on your Big Life List now?
I’m doing of them this month (MIG 29)! I’d also like to trade $100k into $1M, and also get my pilots license…
What’s the most significant / important contribution you’ve made to a community or nonprofit organization?
As I live in Europe and pay over 50% tax, I donate tens of thousands of $ every year to a not-for-profit charity called “The European Union.” This is a place for people who don’t understand how to live within their means — but are given free education (not that it does them any good) and healthcare. We are currently having a collection for Greece, Spain and Italy, if anyone fancies throwing a few bucks in the hat.
Which books, authors or programs have been a powerful influence in your business and life?
- The Art of War for Executives, by Donald G. Krause
- Atlas Shrugged, by Ayn Rand
- Andy Harrington is a great trainer of public speaking: http://www.powertoachieve.co.uk/
- Lee Sandford is a great trading teacher: https://www.tradingcollege.co.uk/
What’s the weirdest skill, quirk or stupid human trick you’re known for? (C’mon, we’re gonna find out anyway.)
