Welcome Matthew! What businesses do you operate?

mattbiopic (1)

I am the Managing Partner and founder of Pacific Labs and a Partner in The Legacy Healthcare Group. A Maverick entrepreneur at heart, I began my professional career at the age of 20 in the restaurant business. After 5 years I set my sights higher in a new industry and started a shipping company based out of Dubai, U.A.E with my brother Ben. Our shipping company owned a fleet of cargo ships and traded between the Far East and Middle East from 2005-2010.

In 2010 I opened Pacific Labs, which provides toxicology and pathology services to over 350 physician offices across the country and provides reference lab services to a number of other labs across the country. The Legacy Healthcare Group designs, builds and launches hospitals and surgery centers. The company also establishes all the ancillary businesses that support each facility (lab, pharmacy, implants, hardware and biologics).

Why did you become a member of Maverick1000 and why are you a good fit for the group?

For personal and professional growth. I want to share what I have learned in business with like-minded individuals, and be a part of a group that gives back. I look forward to creating memories that last a lifetime.

Welcome Jeremy! What business do you operate?

IMG_1921
I am the Founder/Owner of RSM Group. RSM group is in the affiliate marketing business. We are our own traffic source and run 10 to 15 offers. We also own a medium size eCommerce credit card processing ISO and agent group.

Why did you become a member of Maverick1000 and why are you a good fit for the group?

I think being able to share ideas with other like minded individuals would be extremely valuable for my life. I have owned my own businesses since I was 24, so for my post college life I have truly only known the struggle of an entrepreneur. I have owned businesses in various industries from mass market distribution, to call centers located in the Philippines, Maine and Florida to infomercial marketing companies to affiliate and ecomm companies. I feel that what makes me a good fit for the Mavericks is that I have both failed and succeeded in Business ventures – which has allowed me to grow as a person and leave my ego at the door. I feel that my personality is one that really enjoys people and sharing. I am not a closed-off person and I’m willing to share my successes and failures as they both have shaped me equally.

Super Hero Skills?

I am a humble facilitator.

What top things would you like to gain / learn / do with other Mavericks, and what unique value do you bring to the group?

I would love to just brainstorm with other Mavericks on their customer service philosophies and customer engagement tactics. I love to travel and experience new places and have new adventures. I’m interested in people’s mobile advertising and mobile engagement strategies. The world of commerce is moving to people’s cell phones, which is truly interesting.

What interests, activities or hobbies do you enjoy?
  • Working out
  • Football
  • Classic muscle cars
  • Ocean activities
  • Fishing
What’s the most significant / important contribution you’ve made to a community or nonprofit organization?

I have a young daughter (4.5 years old) so all of my time for non-profits or charitable time goes towards children. I recently found out the daughter of a local sandwich shop was in need of a liver transplant. I had never met her but I was able to get multiple friends of mine to donate and help raise money to help fund this girl’s liver transplant.

Seth Proper, Maverick 1000 Member #241 – Boca Raton, Florida

Screen Shot 2014-12-19 at 3.33.13 PM

image002 (1)Seth got his start in payment processing back in 2008 working in sales for a large high risk payment processor based in Maine. Starting as a temp, Seth was originally hired for a 2 week assignment, but within the first year he rose through the ranks to help run and manage what had quickly become the fastest growing, and most profitable channels within the company. After over 4 years of loyal service, Seth grew bored with the day to day corporate environment, and went out on a limb to start Alliance Processing Services LLC. The knowledge he gained during his time as an employee proved to be extremely valuable, and helped pave the way for growing Alliance to where it currently is today. In his spare time Seth enjoys traveling, snowboarding, and spending time with friends. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine Business Administration program, and currently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida

Jeremiah Joseph, Maverick 1000 Member #246 – Englewood, Florida

Screen Shot 2014-12-23 at 7.57.13 AM

JeremiahDr. Jeremiah Joseph is a highly acclaimed speaker, author and educator. He lives in Englewood, Florida, with his wife, Dr. Kristin Joseph. He is the proud father of his two sons Josiah and Isaiah.

During his childhood, he suffered from excruciating migraines for years. Having MRI’s blood testing, an answer from the conventional medical model was not found. It was at that time when his mother and father decided to pursue another avenue and approach, chiropractic, which was what ended up saving his life.

His childhood dreams of serving humanity were sparked in Florida, where he pursued pre-medicine studies at Stetson University in preparation to become a doctor. Having interned and worked in Florida hospitals, he quickly realized that the American health care system had its struggles with getting the average sick person well. Seeing virtually every patient receive a drug or surgery and frustrated with the lack of results, he decided another path would serve those that wanted to achieve spectacular results in a superior way. It was at this time when he enrolled at Life University where he obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic and as his fervor for life was redefined to empower individuals to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. The next three years, He went on to further his studies and obtained a Diplomate in Neurology.

As a radio talk show host, and guest of radio and television programs, he inspires thousands of suffering individuals each year with his ground-breaking messages of wellness, health recovery, and service. He and his wife have developed a unique weight management system that has been shared with thousands of people in the South-West Florida region. He has performed thousands of lectures to hospitals, churches, corporations and foundations throughout the state of Florida and across the country.

Their remarkable approach for total health and well-being are the foundation to their thriving local practice in Port Charlotte. Their strongest premise is to build health by finding the cause and remove older failing methodologies of treating symptoms and disease.

Brent Weaver, Maverick 1000 Member #247 – Denver, Colorado

Screen Shot 2014-12-23 at 8.05.54 AM

Brent WeaverBrent started creating websites around 15 years of age and never stopped. Brent spent the first 12 years of his professional career growing HotPress Web into one of the most successful website agencies in Denver. He worked with some of the top businesses and non-profits in the state creating websites and online marketing campaigns.

In 2012, he sold his agency to another Denver superstar, Phil Lockwood at Distill, so he could focus his energy on creating products to help web designer pros become more profitable. In November of 2012, he founded this site, uGurus.com to realize this vision.

Before he sold his agency, in 2009, he created a site dedicated to helping Business Catalyst professionals be more profitable. Starting as just a blog, this site today has helped thousands of BC professionals from around. BC Gurus is now operated by uGurus.

Over the years, Brent has used his experience to help other web designers. He spends some of his time continuing to consult 1-on-1 with web entrepreneurs in the early to mid stage of their journey.

Brent’s primary focus for uGurus is content development, expanding our contributor network, and finding partners to do joint ventures.

In his spare time, he actively enjoys being involved in the Denver community volunteering with the Cunningham Foundation, former Board President of Ethiopia Reads, teaching Junior Achievement classes to local high school students and is a graduate of the Denver Leadership Foundation’s 2010 Impact Denver class.
