Why did you become a member of Maverick1000 and why are you a good fit for the group?
I joined Maverick 1000 to meet and get to know others who are making things happen. I want to spend more time around others who have significant ability. I have extremely successful friends but many are senior level in large companies. I have fewer entrepreneur and marketing capable friends. I look forward to networking while learning from other members. I also hope to share ideas with other members while gaining insight as to how I grow my businesses and abilities. I believe I am a good fit because I’ve been successful and I’m interested in contributing as much as receiving. I love business and marketing. If I had 100 million in the bank I would do exactly what I’m doing (but on a bigger scale). I’m passionate about everything business-wise that involves entrepreneurship.
I love travel and adventure. I’m one that will participate. In fact, because I work so much, Maverick will push me to travel / relax more. Currently, I take 3 (maybe 4) vacations per year.

I am looking forward to developing relationships to the point I can pick up the phone and ask a fellow member ‘who knows / who has done it’ questions while providing the same service for others.

Welcome Scott! What businesses do you operate?
I am the Founder/Owner/CEO of LifeMatters. Here at Lifematters, we provide home health care to clients who need any kind of assistance with activities of daily living or skilled care. We specialize in working with clients that have neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinsons, MS, ALS as well as spinal cord injuries.
Why did you become a member of Maverick1000 and why are you a good fit for the group?
After I sold my last company, I traveled for two years looking for ways to be fulfilled while serving others. When I returned, I realized I wanted to create an organization that focused on “doing well” by doing good and impacted as many people as possible. We created a set of core values from day one that helped us stay focused on what mattered most. Some of those core values offer a continuous focus on growth and contribution: being the best in the world at what we do, and celebrating as often as possible. When I saw that Maverick 1000 was focused on creating more impact, more profits and having even more fun, I knew I had to get involved.
Super Hero Skills?
If I really were a superhero, I would hope that I could teleport myself anywhere in an instant. My current and past management teams have stated that I have the ability to empower them to be their very best that they can possibly be. I am also known to find a solution to any problem.

I would like to learn more on how to scale my business using the latest technology available. Most importantly, I would like to have very unique adventures with like-minded people who also want to dramatically change the world and make a huge difference. I know I need to raise my game and contribute more when I’m surrounded by the best and brightest. To me, everyone wins in a group of people that have the desire, the talent and belief that they can do just about anything.
What is the most “Maverick” thing you have ever done?
After selling my first company, I traveled around the world for two years. The focus was on having fun, learning as much as possible about other cultures, and finding ways to contribute and help people along the way. It was a complete immersion in learning, adventure and contribution.

In addition, I have traveled to over 40 countries and make sure to contribute both time and money on almost all my vacations to a local charity. My company is also involved and contributes to many other nonprofits here in DC such as the Alzheimer’s Association, Parkinsons Association, Anti Defamation League, local hospitals, hospices, domestic violence groups, etc. A huge part of our mission is giving back daily.
