How was this year’s Maverick IMPACT Haiti trip?
But the sheer scope of the white smiles that greeted us through the rubble—and seeing the homes and schools rising up from it all—gave me a very tangible hope that someday, maybe in my lifetime, Haiti may reclaim herself and emerge as the gem she once was.
What inspired me most was the delight on the faces of everyone who visited last year, who completely blown away at how much progress occurred in such a short time. Pretty powerful to witness the impact first-hand of foundations like Caring House Foundation and Hope to Haiti, and the other “Maverick-minded” groups who help bring richness back to hurting areas.
The best way for you to share this experience is to come on a little photo journey now, compliments of Maverick1000 Member #35 Doug Doebler (aka: Professor Beach).
Doug Doebler would like to thank Yanik and all the Mavericks who participated on our 2011 and 2012 IMACT trips, and all the Mavericks who continue to individually support these Haiti Impact initiatives:
