Giving the People of Haiti their Homes Back… One House at a Time.

“I believe it takes one person making one profound change, one day at a time—and then multiplying that by like-minded philanthropists—to become exponentially more impactful.”
The purpose of my last trip to Haiti was to select plots of land and start the construction of 160 homes, which will end up housing more than 400 Haitians once the project is complete.
“Giving back” means more than just a handout; my team hired local Haitians to build these communities, teaching them construction skills while stimulating the stagnant local economy.
During my next trip to Haiti in September, I will be bringing my 4-year old son and 20 students along, to check in on the development progress of the “House for a Home” communities, while hopefully inspiring others to give back. I believe it takes one person making one profound change, one day at a time—and then multiplying that by like-minded philanthropists—to become exponentially more impactful.
When I see Haiti, I see potential for great change and am positive that in my lifetime, things will change. It’s time to take action.
