Its a new year….
….and we have a whole 12 months of the unknown in front of us. For some of us those twelve months will bring much growth and change in our companies, for others of us the forecast says “traveling,” for others its time to take on a project or cause that has always had a hold on our hearts. For some its a little bit of “all of the above!” Please join us as we take the time to recognize and appreciate two Maverick members who are shaking things up and igniting positive change.
Douglas Doebler and Hope for Haiti
Big thanks (again) to Maverick Member #35 Doug Doebler (aka: Professor Beach) for keeping us posted on all the continuing IMPACT and ripple effect in Haiti… driven by Maverick Member #161 Steve Martel, who we first met in Haiti just last February. Doug, we appreciate your passion for Haiti and enjoy hearing your updates. Please keep them coming!!

“Yanik & Aydika – this may be worth sharing with the crew…
Scott Bonnell (Director of Hope to Haiti) was at our new village in Haiti last week. Maverick Member #161 Steve Martel’s village (another village) is almost complete – he ended up funding it all on his own. So this new village Parish Of The Cross near St Mark (where we visited the 1st school and played ball in the street and fed the kids) is in my eyes the village that the Maverick donations in 2012 funded. Frank McKinney, Scott and I have been on this a couple months. Construction is under way. You gotta see this video of the start of construction from last week in Haiti. We will visit here on our 2013 Haiti trip: Parish of the Cross, Haiti.
PS – I just couldn’t hold back – had to send to everyone I could quickly remember that was on our 2012 trip. More to come as I receive it!

Jordan Guernsey and Operation No Starvation
I believe that by supporting ONS the companies will see better retention and a happier customer. Who wouldn’t want to know that if they bought a widget that they also helped change the world?
Besides all of this it is also tax deductible so that is always a plus.
Highlights..we are going to be throwing a party at sundance and the line up of people coming are Miss USA, The Indianapolis Colts, Real Salt Lake, Possibly Neon Trees. I have also got Scott Lazerson on board (he used to run Larry Kings non-profit and has worked with Celebrities for the last 15 years) and he is SUPER stocked to help push this.
Lastly, if anyone has connections with Celebrities or people with big names we are launching an apparel brand and giving 100% of the proceeds to ONS. We also have an affiliate program where we can either pay cash or pay it in poundage of food to ONS.
I think that about covers it.
Jordan, thank you for sharing your passion and vision. You inspire others with your motivation and enthusiasm. I think Aydika Jack James said it best in a Facebook post when she wrote;
” Jordan Guernsey, you are one of the most INSPIRING human beings on my list for 2012. Can only imagine what you’ll do this year!”
