Exclusive Interview with Dutch Mendenhall: The Story Behind His Seminar Solutions

(Note from the editor Rose Ayers-Etherington) Maverick member #199 Dutch Mendenhall is a man of many surprises. He and his beautiful wife and partner Vanessa can often be found as main players in the Maverick Mayhem taking place at several of our 3X Maverick Multiplier retreats. They can dress the part of King and Queen and they will kick anyone’s butt at a good old fashioned game of Paintball. I recently caught up with Dutch and had the opportunity to interview him. What I learned, is that there is so much more to Dutch than meets the eye. Check out what he has to say below.

What is your story in a nutshell? How did you get to where you are today?

Dutch
I grew up really poor, and even though life was often times tough I always knew there was a different way. My big, pivotal life moment – the one that set me on a new path – happened while I was a baseball coach at a private high school. I had this young man on my team who was good guy and overall great player. One day his father decided to take his own life along with the lives of his entire family. This kid who had such a bright future died because someone else lost hope. Right then and there I decided I wanted to spend my life helping people find the hope they needed to better themselves and change their lives. I started out as a business and life coach, which came naturally after coaching sports (many correlation’s). I found that I was really good at it and enjoyed being a part of the literal change happening in my client’s lives. The more I worked in this field, the more patterns I saw take shape. One day as I was working with a client, it struck me that I could take the process I was using with him and replicate it in order to serve many other people.

 

Tell me about The Seminar Solution

The Seminar Solution came into being after I realized that I was stumbling upon effective coaching patterns that could be used in many different industries. We use these patterns to offer several valuable services to our clients. To start, we are experts at doing what entrepreneurs may not be able to do (or may not have the time and resources to execute) for their companies. With a group of 40-50 highly experienced people we put together live seminars, events and mastermind sessions. We create coaching systems and sales processes that have been proven to take a product from where it has been stagnate for some time to a much higher place of profitability. We have the capability to take any product along with the tribe behind that product and develop them both to greater levels of success. With a stellar event sales team we excel at creating a Sales Floor. Companies hire us because they hear about our ability to take their tribe “deeper” in a monetary sense. If a company has a seven figure brand, our goal is to take it to an eight figure. You see, most entrepreneurs are high quick-starts (Kolbe). They have no shortage of ideas for new businesses. They will have an idea, get excited by it, start it and drive it to it’s first initial round of success. What commonly happens is that they either get bored with this business or they get an idea for a new business that forces them to let go of or sell their old business. Can you imagine if Steve Jobs had called it quits after co-creating the first home-ready Apple 1 computer? Can you imagine a world with no iPad, iPhone or Macbook Pro? We help business owners realize potential markets/products/services/upgrades for their existing business that they are overlooking. We then assist them in fleshing out a new product launch and sales plan.

What makes The Seminar Solution Unique?

For starters, we don’t charge any fees for our services. We conduct all of our business through revenue and profit share. We don’t take on just any client. We always start with what we call a “Synergy Call.” I do more of these calls then I take on actual clients! During these calls we gauge if there is a connection – will we work well with this client? Can we assist them? Do they have a product or service that fits into our current niche? Will they benefit from working with us? If we cannot answer yes to these questions then we do not take them on as a client. Right now, Seminar Solutions is focusing on companies specializing in Personal Development, Health, Dating, Energy and Healing. We work with coaches who have experience in several different verticals. We only work with the best when it comes to our coaches. What sets us apart is that we pay them very well for their services; better than any of our competitors.

If a Maverick member has a product and tribe they would like to take vertical, I’d be happy to schedule a Synergy Call to discuss. While on this call we will strategize on new ways they can go vertical within their companies. I will assist them in seeing new ways they never realized existed.
