From Andrew Way, Maverick Jefe de los Locos…
When Yanik and I started to talk about working together in various capacities back in 2009, Maverick Business Adventures was in a good place.
It had solid membership numbers made up of dynamic, amazing entrepreneurs and was providing the kind of once-in-a-lifetime adventures and business connections that it promised.
Since then, we’ve doubled the membership while keeping the level of dynamism and quality as high as it’s ever been, dramatically increased the number and quality of member benefits, and continued to deliver incredible experiences and business-changing connections. I’ve personally benefitted from getting to know a great many amazing members…
So much so, in fact, that I’ve decided that it’s time to simply be “just” a member. I’ll be putting my money where my mouth is—and has been—and commencing membership in October.
I recently sold one business, and am in the midst of a growing partnership in another, and the Maverick role of El Jefe de Los Locos demands more time and energy than I can devote. As always with Maverick, there are massive things on the horizon, and the business and membership is going to need a full-time, dedicated Jefe-ish type of person to take it into the future.
So it’s with pride of accomplishment, gratitude toward all the members and deep thanks to Mr. Yanik Silver and the Maverick team for trusting me with the reigns, that I drive my Baja racer into the proverbial sunset.
See you all at a Maverick event soon….
Don’t ask me for details — for the first time in a long time, I won’t know ‘em.
— Jefe, out.
