The Green Beret Foundation
“Caring for America’s Quiet Professionals”
One of the best parts of being a Maverick is the ability you have to make a positive IMPACT on your world.
As a Maverick Member, not only do you experience Epic Adventures and Life Changing Experiences, but you get to be a part of CHANGE; in the lives of young entrepreneurs and start-ups as well as in the growth and infrastructure of Non-Profit Organizations. We seek out unique opportunities to support causes that are positively affecting the social and economical infrastructures of our world – and our efforts are making a difference. Check out the Maverick IMPACT donations made to date: $1,312,411.70. This is something to be really proud of guys! Well done.
Our next opportunity to make a Maverick IMPACT will be during our 3X Multiplier Retreat in Washington DC July 30-August 1, 2014. We will be working with The Green Beret Foundation:
“The Green Beret Foundation provides unconventional resources to facilitate the special needs of our wounded, ill and injured and imparts unique support to the Special Forces community in order to strengthen readiness and uphold Green Beret traditions and values.”
The United States Army Special Forces, commonly known as the Green Berets, produces some of our nation’s finest and most elite warriors. They fight across a broad spectrum of missions in the pursuit of freedom for those oppressed and to protect our nation from those who seek to do us harm. They are known as our country’s quiet professionals.
We will be trying something new with this organization – an activity that must be kept at Top Secret Status. To find out what we are doing you will have to sign up for this retreat. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!
It’s Been a Good Year…
So far in 2014, we have made an IMPACT by supporting Virgin Unite, Hope to Haiti, The Caring House Foundation and Homeboy Industries. You should know that your participation in these efforts never goes unnoticed. Take a look at this email we received from Linda Smith, The Associate Executive Director of Opportunity Village – an amazing Non Profit we supported and spent time with last October during our 3X Multiplier Retreat in Las Vegas:
Dear Rose and The Maverick Team,
Maverick 1000 has changed Opportunity Village. Better put, Maverick 1000 has utterly reshaped the way we at Opportunity Village see ourselves and present our case to the world.
After touring the Maverick 1000 Team through Opportunity Village’s Engelstad Campus, we sat down with team members and started a conversation. We weren’t prepared to be blown away by the team’s extraordinary insights.
The Maverick Team told us that we were more than a charity; we were a business-a stellar business. You made us realize that we at Opportunity Villageneed to value ourselves as others value us and what we do to make the lives of people with disabilities more productive and socially integrated.
Maverick 1000 truly is a group of amazing individuals that can change the world and in Opportunity Village’s case, change Nevada’s largest habilitation organization. Your encouragement and advice have been taken to heart. We speak about Maverick 1000 constantly and we live your lessons every day.
I hope that other not-for-profit organizations welcome you as we did. They can learn a wealth of information and literally change their futures.
We can’t thank you enough for being part of Opportunity Village’s family of friends, donors and advisors. Your visit lit a fire underneath us and it is still burning strong and bright.
Sincerely,
Linda Smith
Associate Executive Director
Now that’s what it’s all about:)
